Also recorded as Carburra Bridge (1672, 1715) and Carburrow Bridge (1777). In 1672, the named tenant was “Herculus Fletcher”. This earlier name is believed to link to Carburrow in Warleggan (SX151706). In a lease dated 29 September 1734 (Kresen Kernow ref: CL/1/54/7) it was described as “Land near Carrburra Bridge [Fletchers Bridge], Cardinham, Cornwall. Part of Cabilla Manor.”
