Tuban Braz (EN) / Tobmen Vras (KW)

Parish:
Hundred:
Notes:
It’s a large Bronze Age barrow ENE of the Nine Maidens stone circle. Tregerthen called this “The Deadman” in “Wild Life at the Land’s End” (1904), a place of dread which emits an unearthly shriek when a death occurs nearby. “Deadman” is almost certainly a corruption of <tobmen>.
